Fusible adhesive I use near is Pellon's 805 Wonder Under paper-backed fusible web. There are other adept fusibles on the market. I just happen to have this one in my stash, then I use it.

The tear away stabilizer I use most is Sulky'southward Stiffy tear away stabilizer. Equally with fusible adhesives, there are several stabilizers on the market place. I happen to take Sulky's in my stash.

Transferring the design to fusible adhesive

Trace letter onto the paper side (not the webbing side) of the fusible webbing. Call up to flip the letter and trace the mirror image. Using a lightbox or window is helpful. IMPORTANT – if you are using lightweight fabric such as quilting cotton wool equally I did for the background fabric, yous volition have better finished results by using a stabilizer on the underside. I like to use Sulky's Stiffy – a medium weight, well-baked, firm, tear-away stabilizer. It prevents tunneling, distorting of stitches and puckering of fabric. Once you are finished stitching, but tear it abroad and you accept a professionally finished projection. If your project is a stiff canvas this tear abroad stabilizer may non be needed.
